Patriotas Boyacá
Patriotas Boyacá, also known as Patriotas, is a professional Colombian football team based in Tunja, that currently plays in the Categoría Primera B. They play their home games at the La Independencia stadium. History Patriotas was founded in 2003 by the then-governor of Boyacá Miguel Ángel Bermúdez, together with the then Coldeportes chairman and the owners of hardware business G&J. In its first year in the Primera B, the club reached the semifinals, where it was eliminated by Bogotá Chicó. In 2004 the team again advanced to the semifinals, where the team played against Deportivo Antioquia, Centauros Villavicencio and Expreso Rojo, but did not qualify. In 2005 Patriotas was second in the general table but in the semifinals was eliminated by Bajo Cauca F.C. In 2009 some changes were implemented in the tournament. Estadio La Independencia
Estadio La Independencia (Spanish for The Independence Stadium) is a multi-use stadium in the city of Tunja, Colombia. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 25,000 people, and is 2,800 metres above sea level. Boyacá Chicó F.C., Boyacá Chicó and Patriotas F.C., Patriotas play their home games at this stadium. Before Boyaca Chico's 2008 Categoría Primera A season, 2008 Apertura league title in June 2008, the stadium's capacity was 8,000, but for the final the capacity was temporarily expanded to 12,000. Also with Chico's qualification to 2009 Copa Libertadores, the stadium was due to be expanded, in order to achieve the minimum 20000 seats that CONMEBOL requires to host an international match. Adam Ozeri (born March 7, 1998) is an American professional soccer player who plays as an attacking midfielder for Patriotas Boyacá of the Colombian Categoría Primera A. Club career Ozeri started his youth career in his homeland with Manhattan Kickers, before switching to TSF Academy soon after. Ozeri would eventually head to Spain with Cornellà, notably finishing as top goalscorer in 2014 for the U15s of the Catalonia-based club. Edward Orlando Bolaños Angulo (born 14 August 1998) is a Colombian professional footballer who plays for Cortuluá as a forward for Patriotas Boyacá. Penalty Shootout (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds.
