Patrick Somerville
Patrick Somerville (born April 14, 1979) is an American novelist and television writer living in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Career Novels Somerville graduated from Cornell University in 2005. He published his debut novel, ''The Cradle'', in 2009 and his second novel ''This Bright River'' in 2012. Television In 2013, Somerville joined the writing staff of '' The Bridge'', where he wrote two episodes of the series. From 2015 to 2017, he was a writer on the HBO series '' The Leftovers.'' In October 2016, it was announced that Somerville would write the Netflix series ''Maniac''. In December 2017, he signed a deal to develop new TV and digital projects exclusively for Paramount Television (now Paramount Television Studios). In October 2019, it was announced that he would be the writer and showrunner for a 10 episode HBO Max miniseries '' Station Eleven''. ''Sea of Tranquility'' is a 2022 novel by the Canadian writer Emily St. John Mandel. It is Mandel's sixth novel and a work of speculative fiction. Written during the COVID-19 pandemic, the novel considers "what constitutes reality, how time flows, and what memory is in the context of perception" by pondering the simulation hypothesis and time travel. Christina Lee is an American writer and producer. Dean Bakopoulos (born 1975 in Dearborn Heights, Michigan) is an American writer. He is a two-time National Endowment for the Arts fellow, a Guggenheim Fellow, and writer-in-residence at Grinnell College. Bakopoulos has a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.F.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also a faculty member in the Warren Wilson College MFA Program for Writers. Alissa Nutting (born 1980 or 1981) is an American author and creative writing professor. Her writing has appeared in ''Tin House'', ''Fence'', ''BOMB'' and the fairy tale anthology ''My Mother She Killed Me, My Father He Ate Me''. She is an associate professor at Grinnell College.
