Patrick Hanran
Patrick Francis Hanran (16 September 1831 – 8 August 1916) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Early life Hanran was born in Limerick, Ireland, the son of Corporal Francis Hanrahan and his wife Bridget (née Hayes). His family came to Australia in 1834 when his father was appointed commandant of the Bowens Hollow Convict settlement and was educated at the Christian Brothers School in Sydney. On leaving school he worked at the family commission agency in Sydney before going gold mining in Victoria, New South Wales, and New Zealand. He was at Eureka during the Eureka Stockade in 1854 where, with the aid of a Catholic priest, jumped over the barricade after the fighting had ceased to pass back bodies of the dead and dying protesters. Insolvent
In accounting, insolvency is the state of being unable to pay the debts, by a person or company (debtor), at maturity; those in a state of insolvency are said to be ''insolvent''. There are two forms: cash-flow insolvency and balance-sheet insolvency. Cash-flow insolvency is when a person or company has enough assets to pay what is owed, but does not have the appropriate form of payment. For example, a person may own a large house and a valuable car, but not have enough liquid assets to pay a debt when it falls due. Cash-flow insolvency can usually be resolved by negotiation. William Lennon
William Lennon (8 December 1849 – 5 May 1938) was a politician in Queensland, Australia. He was a Member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly and a Member of the Queensland Legislative Council. He was Lieutenant-Governor of Queensland. Biography Lennon was born in Dublin, Ireland to parents William Lennon Snr and his wife Ann (née Martin). Arriving with his family in Melbourne in 1855 he received his education there and by 1870 he was employed as a clerk with the Victorian Mines Department. Anthony Ogden
Anthony Ogden (18 March 1866 – 15 May 1943) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. Biography Ogden was born in Grenoside, Yorkshire, the son of Anthony Ogden Snr. and his wife Ann (née Housley) and was educated in Sheffield. On leaving school he was an apprentice iron moulder before arriving in Queensland in 1884. He was a meatworker and later worked in a foundry and on the wharves of Townsville. He studied for the Wesleyan Church and at one stage was a local preacher. On 19 November 1888 he married Mary Ann Gillott (died 1920) and together had two sons and five daughters. The Australian Labor Party (Queensland Branch), commonly known as Queensland Labor or as just Labor inside Queensland, is the state branch of the Australian Labor Party in the state of Queensland.
