Patrick Cripps
Patrick Cripps (born 18 March 1995) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Cripps won the Leigh Matthews Trophy in 2019 and the Brownlow Medal in 2022, and is a three-time All-Australian and a four-time John Nicholls Medallist, becoming the second-youngest player to win the latter when he first won the award in 2015. Cripps served as Carlton co-captain from 2019 to 2021, and has served as the sole captain since the 2022 season. Early life Cripps was born in Perth, but at a young age moved to the small farming town of Northampton in Western Australia's Mid West. Perth is the capital and largest city of the Australian state of Western Australia. The National Australia Bank, NAB AFL Rising Star award is given annually to a stand out young player in the Australian Football League. The award was won by Jesse Hogan of who polled 49 votes, beating 's Patrick Cripps who finished on 41 votes. Kane Lucas
Kane Lucas is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was listed with the West Coast Eagles for the 2015 and 2016 seasons, but failed to play a senior match. Lucas, the son of Jack Lucas who played for the Sydney Swans in the 1980s, played during his junior years at Trinity College in Western Australia and played most of his club football for Melville Hawks Junior Football Club, with a few years at Winnacott Junior Football Club, before playing Colts and senior football with the East Fremantle Football Club, playing twelve senior games during 2009 as a 17/18 year old. Gregory Donald Williams (born 30 September 1963) is a former Australian rules footballer who represented , the Sydney Swans and in the Australian Football League (AFL) during the 1980s and 1990s. 2013 AFL Under 18 Championships
The 2013 NAB AFL Under 18 Championships was the 18th edition of the AFL Under 18 Championships. Eight teams competed in the championships: Vic Metro, Vic Country, South Australia and Western Australia in Division 1, and New South Wales/Australian Capital Territory (NSW/ACT), Northern Territory, Queensland and Tasmania in Division 2. The competition was played over five rounds, in seven states and territories, across two divisions. In the first two rounds of the competition, the second-division teams crossed over and played the division one sides, while the final three rounds of matches were played between the teams in each the division. The East Fremantle Football Club, nicknamed the Sharks, is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). Chris Mainwaring
Christopher Douglas Mainwaring (27 December 1965 – 1 October 2007) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL) and for the East Fremantle Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). Adored by young fans for his handsome appearance, Mainwaring was one of the most popular footballers of his era. At his peak, he was one of the finest wingmen in the AFL, forming a devastating midfield combination with Peter Matera in the early 1990s, but after a serious knee injury in 1997 he was never able to recapture his best form. Jamie Cripps (born 23 April 1992) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Cripps is a cousin of two other AFL players, Patrick Cripps (Carlton) and Chris Mainwaring (West Coast). Northampton, Western Australia
Northampton is a town north of Geraldton, in the Mid West region of Western Australia. At the 2011 census, the town had a population of 868.The town contains a National Trust building. The town lies on the North West Coastal Highway. Originally called The Mines, Northampton was gazetted in 1864 and named after the colony's Governor, John Hampton. The town was sited in the Nokanena Brook valley, between the hamlets around the two major copper mines in the area, the Wanerenooka and the Gwalla.
