Patrick Clarke
Patrick Clarke is an Irish writer, director, producer and actor. Clarke co-wrote and produced his first feature '' Beyond the Pale'' in 1999. Based on actual events, the immigrant drama was a commercial success in Ireland, Australia and the UK and won awards at the Houston and Arizona film festivals (2000). Clarke's performance in ''Beyond the Pale'' led to roles in ''The Magnificent Ambersons'' for ''A&E Networks'' and the award-winning black comedy ''Stay Until Tomorrow'' (2004), which was developed through the ''Sundance Institute''. Irish Film & Television Academy
The Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) is an all-Ireland organisation focused on film and television. It has about 1000 members, and is based in Dublin, with branches in London and Los Angeles. The IFTA now holds separate ceremonies for the IFTA Film & Drama Awards and IFTA Gala Television Awards; before 2015, they were one ceremony, known as the Irish Film & Television Awards. IFTA also holds the John Ford Ireland Symposium each June, and over 30 networking and learning events throughout the year. Ballymun
Ballymun () is an outer suburb of Dublin, Ireland, at the northern edge of the Northside, the green-field development of which began in the 1960s to accommodate a housing crisis in inner city areas of Dublin. While the newly built housing was state-of-the-art at the time, comprising high-rise tower blocks and flat complexes, residents were moved in years before shops, schools and other infrastructure were fully ready, and the area became well known for both a strong community spirit and considerable social challenges. Beyond The Pale (film)
''Beyond the Pale'' is a 1999 immigrant drama set in mid-1980s New York, directed by George Bazala and starring Patrick Clarke, Malachy McCourt and Roger Davis. Cabra () is an inner suburb on the northside of Dublin city in Ireland. It is approximately northwest of the city centre, in the administrative area of Dublin City Council.
