Patricia Josephine Smith (1920–2017) was an Australian international lawn bowler. Bowls career Pat was part of the Lawn Bowls at the 1986 Commonwealth Games, fours team that won a silver medal at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh. She had previously competed at the 1982 Commonwealth Games. She also won a gold medal and a silver medal, at the 1985 Asia Pacific Bowls Championships in Tweed Heads, New South Wales and bowled for New South Wales from 1972-1987. Awards She was awarded the Australian Sports Medal in 2000 and the Order of Australia, Member of the Order of Australia in 1989 for services to bowls. References

Patricia Smith (born 1955) is an American poet, spoken-word performer, playwright, author, writing teacher, and former journalist. She has published poems in literary magazines and journals including ''TriQuarterly'', ''Poetry'', ''The Paris Review'', ''Tin House'', and in anthologies including ''American Voices'' and ''The Oxford Anthology of African-American Poetry.'' She is on the faculties of the Stonecoast MFA Program in Creative Writing and the Low-Residency MFA Program in Creative Writing at Sierra Nevada University. Patricia Catherine M. Smith (born April 14, 1957) is a Canadian lawyer and Olympic rower who was elected president of the Canadian Olympic Committee. She sits on the International Council of Arbitration for Sport. Biography Smith was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. She graduated from the University of British Columbia (UBC) with a B.A. in 1981 and from UBC law school in 1985. She practised law in Vancouver, B.C. She represented Swift Current from 1982 to 1991 in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as a Progressive Conservative. She was born Patricia Anne Chalmers in Cabri, Saskatchewan, the daughter of Arthur W. Chalmers and Martha Shiels, and was educated in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
