Patricia Kane
Patricia Kane (born Patricia M. Howse; 1929, date of death unknown) was a British actress who appeared in a range of television roles from the 1950s through to the 2010s. Kane was also known for her work in theatre productions, as well as her charity work, alongside her husband Howell Evans. Personal life and death Kane married actor Howell Evans. They had one son, born in 1953. Evans died in 2014. Kane's death was announced by performing arts union Equity on 25 May 2023. Howell Evans
Howell Albert John Evans (3 March 1928 – 9 September 2014) was a Welsh actor, comedian, and singer who worked extensively in television and theatre roles in a career spanning over 60 years. He was best known for having played "Daddy" in the Sky1 TV comedy drama series '' Stella''. Biography He was born in Maesteg, and first performed as an impressionist during the Second World War. After the war, he joined the Carroll Levis Discovery Show, and formed a comedy double act with his wife, Patricia Kane, working together for many years in music hall, variety shows and pantomime. Equity (British Trade Union)
Equity, formerly officially titled the British Actors' Equity Association, is the trade union for the performing arts and entertainment industries. Formed by a group of West End performers in 1930, the union grew to include performers and stage management nationwide, as well as gaining recognition in audio, film, and television. Equity incorporated the Variety Artistes' Federation in 1967, and now represents most professionals whose work is presented on stage or screen. As of 2021, it had just over 46,000 members, including actors, singers, dancers, variety artistes and other performers, models, theatre directors, choreographers, designers, and stage management.
