Pat Sobeski
Patrick Anthony "Pat" Sobeski (25 July 1951 – 17 March 2016) was a Canadian politician, who has served as a member of the House of Commons of Canada from 1988 to 1993, and as mayor of Woodstock from 2010 to 2014. He was elected in the 1988 federal election at the Cambridge electoral district for the Progressive Conservative party. He served in the 34th Canadian Parliament but lost to Janko Peric Janko Perić (born February 24, 1949), is a former Canadian politician. Perić was the Liberal Party MP for the riding of Cambridge from 1993 to 2004. He was born in Orehovica near Bedekovčina, Croatia and was a welder. Woodstock is a city in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. The city has a population of 40,902 according to the 2016 Canadian census. Woodstock is the seat of Oxford County, at the head of the non-navigable Thames River, approximately 128 km from Toronto, and 43 km from London, Ontario. The city is known as the Dairy Capital of Canada and promotes itself as "The Friendly City". Woodstock was first settled by European-colonists and United Empire Loyalists in 1800, starting with Zacharias Burtch and Levi Luddington, and was incorporated as a town in 1851. Since then, Woodstock has maintained steady growth, and is now a small city in Southwestern Ontario. CKCO-DT (channel 13) is a television station in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Part of the CTV Television Network, it is owned and operated by network parent Bell Media alongside London-based CTV 2 station CFPL-DT, although the two stations maintain separate operations. CKCO-DT's studios are located at 864 King Street West in Kitchener (across from the Grand River Hospital and Ion rapid transit light rail station adjacent to the Waterloo border), and its transmitter is located at Baden Tower between Snyders Road East and Highway 7 in Baden, just west of the Kitchener city limits.
