Pat Kelly (American Football)
Patrick Joseph Kelly II (October 29, 1965 – March 28, 2003) was a National Football League (NFL) tight end who played for the Denver Broncos (1988–1989) and the New York Jets (1990–1991). He was drafted by the Broncos in the seventh round of the 1988 NFL Draft. He played in 44 games over 4 seasons, starting only the 1988 AFC Championship due to an injury to starter Clarence Kay. Kelly also played in Super Bowl XXIV. He died of cancer on March 28, 2003. Early years Kelly attended R. L. Dale Patrick Kelly (born August 27, 1955) is an American former professional baseball catcher and current coach. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Toronto Blue Jays. Career Drafted in the third round of amateur draft, his career in the majors consisted of three games. Kelly made his MLB debut with the Toronto Blue Jays on May 28, , and played his final game six days later. In seven at-bats, he had two hits, for a .286 batting average, with no home runs or RBIs. Kelly batted and threw right-handed. On July 3, 2007, Kelly replaced Bucky Dent as the Cincinnati Reds bench coach on an interim basis. On June 5, 2008, Kelly's son Casey was the 30th selection of the first round, by the Boston Red Sox in the MLB's First Year Player Draft. Martha Emily "Pat" Kelly (née Bowler) (Mar Qtr 1873 – 26 April 1922) was an early female climber, and a founder of the Pinnacle Club. Early life Kelly was the eldest child within a large family. She took up climbing in 1914, and is reported to have been "a graceful and bold balance climber". By 1917 she was married to the climber, Harry Mills Kelly (1884-1980). They lived and shared an office together at 29 Fountain Street in Levenshulme, Manchester where he worked as an insurance clerk. Climbing One of her best known achievements was to solo a rock climb known as Jones' route up Scafell pinnacle from Deep Ghyll in the Lake District. Those who watched her expressed their consternation at seeing a lone person ascending its rocky arete. Kelly actively encouraged many women to climb. Harold Patrick Kelly (July 30, 1944 – October 2, 2005) was an American professional baseball player who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) as an outfielder from 1967 to 1981 with the Minnesota Twins, Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox, Baltimore Orioles and the Cleveland Indians. He batted and threw left-handed. His brother, Leroy Kelly, Leroy, was a Pro Football Hall of Fame running back. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Kelly was an "All Public" baseball player at Simon Gratz High School, honored with the Cliveden Award as Philadelphia's finest prep school athlete in 1962. Patrick Joseph Kelly (20 November 1929 – 24 June 2004) was a New Zealand trade unionist. Kelly emigrated from Liverpool to New Zealand in 1954 and started working at the Methven tap factory in Dunedin. He was an official of the Drivers' Union, a secretary of the Cleaners' and Caretakers' Union and president of the Wellington Trades Council during his career. He was also active in the anti-Vietnam War, anti-apartheid, anti-nuclear, and peace movements. He died in Wellington in 2004, aged 74. He was cremated and his ashes inurned at Karori Cemetery.
