Pat Flaherty (American Football)
Pat Flaherty (born April 27, 1956) is a former American football coach. He most recently served as offensive line coach for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL) in 2019 but was fired before the season began. Playing career Flaherty attended East Stroudsburg University and was a student and a letterman in football. In football, he was the starting center and won All-America honors. Coaching Collegiate Flaherty began his coaching career at his alma mater, Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown, Pennsylvania from 1978–79. Flaherty moved to the collegiate ranks, coaching the offensive line at his alma mater, East Stroudsburg University, from 1980–81. Clarksburg, West Virginia
Clarksburg is a city in and the county seat of Harrison County, West Virginia, United States, in the north-central region of the state. The population of the city was 16,039 at the 2020 census. Dick Anderson (American Football Coach)
Richard E. Anderson (born July 29, 1941) is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Rutgers University from 1984 to 1989, compiling a record of 28–33–4. His highlight victory during that span was 21–16 win over Penn State in 1988—Rutgers' first win over the Nittany Lions in 70 years. He played college football at Penn State, and served there as an assistant football coach for many years under Joe Paterno. Playing career Anderson, a native of Queens, New York, played tight end and defensive end at Penn State for coach Rip Engle from 1960 to 1962. All-America
The All-America designation is an annual honor bestowed upon an amateur sports person from the United States who is considered to be one of the best amateurs in their sport. Individuals receiving this distinction are typically added to an All-America team for their sport. Some sports will have multiple All-America teams and will list the honorees as members of a first team, second team, or third team. As such, All-America teams are composed of outstanding US amateur players. Individuals falling short of qualifying for the honor may receive All-America honorable mention. The designation is typically used at the collegiate level although, beginning in 1957, high school- athletes in football began being honored with All-America status, which then carried-over to other sports like basketball and cross-country running. Center or Centre (C) is a position in gridiron football. The center is the innermost lineman of the offensive line on a football team's offense. The center is also the player who passes (or "snaps") the ball between his legs to the quarterback at the start of each play.
