Pat Duquette
Pat Duquette (born November 4, 1970) is the head men's basketball coach at UMass Lowell. He is the first coach in the school's Division I history, as the River Hawks joined the America East Conference for the 2013–14 season. Biography Coaching career After graduation from Williams College in 1993, where he captained the men's basketball team, Duquette interned with the New Jersey Nets while simultaneously coaching at Centenary College of New Jersey. UMass Lowell River Hawks Men's Basketball
The UMass Lowell River Hawks men's basketball team represents the University of Massachusetts Lowell in Lowell, Massachusetts, United States. Beginning in the 2013–14 season, the River Hawks made the jump to NCAA Division I and joined the America East Conference. As part of their transition from Division II to Division I, they were not eligible for postseason play until the 2017–2018 season. The team is coached by Pat Duquette, who is in his tenth season. Jim Duquette
Jim Duquette is an American baseball executive. He was the general manager of the New York Mets from 2003–2004, before the team replaced him with Omar Minaya. Duquette subsequently stayed with the Mets in a front office job for a full season before moving on to the Baltimore Orioles. With the Orioles former vice president of baseball operations, where he worked under Mike Flanagan, the team's general manager. Duquette is currently a host on SiriusXM's MLB Network Radio. Jim Duquette's tenure as the Mets' GM is largely remembered for the trade of top pitching prospect Scott Kazmir to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for the right-handed pitcher, Victor Zambrano. The 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 11, 2016. The first tournament was the 2K Sports Classic, and ended with the Final Four in Glendale, Arizona on April 3, 2017. Practices officially began on September 30, 2016. Rule changes The only rule change for the regular season was allowing coaches to ask for timeouts in situations of inbounds on offense or defense. Coaches are still not permitted to call timeouts in live-ball situations. The NCAA approved a number of experimental rule changes for use in the 2017 postseason NIT: * Team fouls were reset to zero at the 10:00 mark of each half. This effectively divided the game into quarters for purposes of team fouls. * The "one-and-one" foul shot was not used. The Montreal Expos (french: link=no, Les Expos de Montréal) were a Canadian professional baseball team based in Montreal, Quebec.
