Pat Curran (American Football Player)
Pat Curran (born September 21, 1945) is a retired American football tight end. Curran played for the National Football League's Los Angeles Rams and San Diego Chargers between 1969 and 1978. Curran is a 1964 graduate of Milwaukee's Juneau High School and a 1968 graduate of Lakeland College near Sheboygan, Wisconsin Sheboygan () is a city in and the county seat of Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, United States. Tight End
The tight end (TE) is a position in American football, arena football, and Canadian football, on the offense. The tight end is often a hybrid position with the characteristics and roles of both an offensive lineman and a wide receiver. Like offensive linemen, they are usually lined up on the offensive line and are large enough to be effective blockers. On the other hand, unlike offensive linemen, they are eligible receivers adept enough to warrant a defense's attention when running pass patterns. Because of the hybrid nature of the position, the tight end's role in any given offense depends on the tactical preferences and philosophy of the head coach as well as overall team dynamic.
