Passage Island is a small island near West Vancouver, British Columbia, and across from Bowen Island in Canada. The island is mostly woodland and cliffs. It marks the entrance to Howe Sound, and the ferry between Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo regularly passes it. The island borrows a postal code, V7W 1V7, from the wealthiest community in Canada, West Vancouver. However, Passage Island is actually overseen by the Islands Trust and is part of the Metro Vancouver Regional District. It is isolated from West Vancouver by approximately of ocean. Prior to European colonization, the island was home to a Squamish village named Mi'tlmetle'lte. It was named by Captain Vancouver for the fact that it lies midway between Point Atkinson and Bowen Island, in the Queen Charlotte Channel. In 1893, the island was sold for a dollar an acre by a banker named Keith, and was later bought in the late 1960s by a developer named Phil Matty. Passage Island (Tasmania)
The Passage Island, part of the Passage Group within the Furneaux Group, is a granite and dolerite island, located in Bass Strait south of Cape Barren Island, in Tasmania, in south-eastern Australia. History Large numbers of fur seals were seen on the island in 1798 by Matthew Flinders and sealers were later reported visiting the island early in the 19th century. The island is a private island with leasehold tenure, with a pastoral lease that has been used for grazing cattle. Improvements on the island include airstrips and a small residence. With the Forsyth and Gull islands, the Passage Island forms part of the Forsyth, Passage and Gull Islands Important Bird Area (IBA), identified as such by BirdLife International because it supports over 1% of the world populations of little penguins and black-faced cormorants. Besides Passage Island, other islands that comprise the Passage Group include the Forsyth, Gull, Battery, and Spike islands, and the Low Islets and the ...

Spanish Virgin Islands
The Spanish Virgin Islands ( es, Islas Vírgenes Españolas), formerly called the Passage Islands (Spanish: ''Islas del Pasaje'') and also known as the Puerto Rican Virgin Islands ( es, Islas Vírgenes de Puerto Rico, ''Islas Vírgenes Puertorriqueñas''), West Virgin Islands (Spanish: Islas Vírgenes Occidental, Islas Vírgenes Occidentales) primarily consisting of the islands of Culebra and Vieques, are part of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and are located east of the main island of Puerto Rico in the Caribbean.
