Pascal Kané (21 January 1946 – 31 August 2020) was a French film director and screenwriter. He studied in Paris before joining the editorial staff of Cahiers du Cinéma from 1969 to 1979. He left Cahiers du Cinéma to concentrate on directing. Angoulême
Angoulême (; Poitevin-Saintongeais: ''Engoulaeme''; oc, Engoleime) is a communes of France, commune, the Prefectures of France, prefecture of the Charente Departments of France, department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of southwestern France. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Angoumoisins'' or ''Angoumoisines''. ''India Song'' is a 1975 French drama film directed by Marguerite Duras. ''India Song'' stars Delphine Seyrig, Michael Lonsdale, Mathieu Carrière, Claude Mann, Vernon Dobtcheff and Didier Flamand. The film centres on Anne-Marie (Seyrig), the promiscuous wife of the French ambassador in India, and was based on an unproduced play written by Duras (which itself was based on her published novel ''Le Vice-Consul'').
