Pasargad F.C.
The Pasargad Football Club is a Filipino football and futsal club. The team played in the former United Football League which was the highest level of club football in the Philippines. It remains competing in the Philippine Futsal League. History Foundation and early years Pasargad F.C. started in 1996 when a group of football enthusiasts decided to form a team. Initially, the team consisted mostly of Iranians, a few Africans and some Filipinos that joined to play the game. The team eventually consisted of players from the national team and different collegiate teams with its core base of Iranian players. Pasargad was named after the capital of former Persian emperor Cyrus the Great (that has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site). The club was originally part of inaugural Filipino Premier League in 2008. They finished fourth in the league table, however the league was discontinued after the first season. 2012 United Football League (Philippines)
The 2012 United Football League was the third season of the UFL since its establishment as a semi-professional league in 2009. Global FC won their first Division 1 league title on goal difference against runners-up Kaya, after a 1–1 draw with third-placers Loyola Meralco Sparks on 26 June 2012. 2011 UFL Cup
The 2011 United Football Cup was the third edition of the United Football Cup that ran from mid-October to mid-December 2011. This edition consisted of 28 teams which were separated into seven groups with the top two teams of the group advancing to the round of 16. The two best third placed teams claimed the remaining two slots in the round of 16. In the previous year the clubs were initially separated into four equal groups, with a single round-robin played in each to divide the groups into top-two and bottom-two clusters. The top two of every group qualified for the knock-out stage while the bottom-two clubs of each set battled for the Plate. The eight teams who made it to the knock-out stages were given the right of playing in the league first division while teams who played for the Plate proceeded to the league second division. The 2011 United Football League (known as the LBC United Football League for sponsorship reasons) began with seven teams in Division 1 and eight teams in Division 2. This was the second season of the United Football League since its establishment as a semi-professional tournament in 2009. The season started on 23 January 2011 with two matches at the University of Makati Stadium. Philippine Air Force F.C. are the current defending Champions. AFC President's Cup
The AFC President's Cup was an annual international association football competition between domestic clubs sides run by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) held between 2005 and 2014. The competition targeted emerging football nations, and was set below the AFC Champions League and AFC Cup competitions. Competition format Between 8 and 12 teams participated in each edition of the competition. From 2005 to 2007, 8 clubs were placed into two groups of 4 teams. UFL Cup
The United Football League Cup, commonly known as UFL Cup, was a Filipino association football competition. It was played on a multistage format that culminated in a knockout stage (single elimination). Clubs eligible to compete for the cup were those who played in the United Football League. Likewise, it was open to all clubs in the Philippines that passed the requirements given by the Football Alliance Group, which organized the competition. The UFL Cup run from mid-October to mid-December and was moved from May to August starting with the 2015 edition, to make it in line with the calendar of its Southeast Asian neighbors.
