Parviz Shahbazov
Parviz Ogtay oglu Shahbazov ( az, Pərviz Oqtay oğlu Şahbazov; November 24, 1969) is an Azerbaijani politician. He is serving as the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Republic. Life Parviz Shahbazov was born in Baku on November 24, 1969. Married, with two children. In 1992, he graduated from Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, faculty of economy and organization of oil and gas industry. Career From 1990, he started his diplomatic career as an intern at the International Economic Relations Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 1992-1996, he worked as an attache in the Republic of Azerbaijan's Embassy to the Federal Republic of Germany. In 1996-2001, he served as second secretary, first secretary, head of the division, and deputy head of Department for Europe, the United States of America, and Canada of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan Republic ( az, Azərbaycan Respublikasının Energetika Nazirliyi) is a governmental agency within the Cabinet of Azerbaijan in charge of regulating the activities in the industry production and energy sector of Azerbaijan Republic. The ministry is headed by Parviz Shahbazov. History The ministry was established according to the Presidential Decree No. 458 on April 18, 2001. Functions and obligations of the ministry were stipulated in Presidential Decree No. 575 dated September 6, 2001. The ministry's statute was approved by the Azerbaijani Parliament on May 15, 2006. Natiq Aghaami oglu Aliyev ( az, Natiq Ağaəmi oğlu Əliyev; November 23, 1947 – June 9, 2017) was an Azerbaijani politician. He served as the president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic and was the Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan Republic at the time of his death. Early life Aliyev was born on November 23, 1947 in Baku, Azerbaijan. He graduated from secondary school in 1965. In 1970, he graduated from Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. Southern Gas Corridor
The Southern Gas Corridor is an initiative of the European Commission for a natural gas supply route from Caspian and Middle Eastern regions to Europe, proposed in 2008. The goal of the Southern Gas Corridor is to reduce Europe's dependency on Russian gas and add diverse sources of energy supply. The route from Azerbaijan to Europe consists of the South Caucasus Pipeline, the Trans-Anatolian Pipeline, and the Trans Adriatic Pipeline.
