The Party of Independence, Labour and Justice (french: Parti de l’indépendance, du travail et de la justice, abbreviated PITJ) is a political party in Burkina Faso. The veteran trade union leader and former general secretary of the African Independence Party (PAI) Soumane Touré is the chairman of the party. Touré's PAI lost the registration of the party name in June 2011. In September 2011 Touré founded PITJ as his new political platform.aOuaga. African Independence Party (Touré)
The African Independence Party () was a political party in Burkina Faso, led by Soumane Touré. It was formed in 1999 when Touré broke away from the original PAI. Touré's PAI joined the government and obtained the legal recognition to the name PAI. At the legislative elections, 5 May 2002, the party won 3.6% of the popular vote and 5 out of 111 seats. Touré won 1.1% of the vote in the presidential elections of 2005. At the 2007 parliamentary elections, the party won 1 seat. The party published ''L'Avant-Garde''. National Assembly Of Burkina Faso
The unicameral National Assembly is Burkina Faso's legislative body. In 1995, it became the lower house of a bicameral Parliament, but the upper house ( Chamber of Representatives) was abolished in 2002. The upper house was to have been restored under the name "Senate" in the June 2012 constitutional amendments. This revision was never executed due to an extended and unresolved political confrontation over the Senate's establishment, which left the country effectively with a unicameral legislature as of the October 2014 constitutional crisis. Gaoua
Gaoua is a market town in southern Burkina Faso known for its superstitious values and customs. The population, rested at 45,284. (2019 census) Located in the red earth, green hills, and fast flowing streams of southwestern Burkina Faso, Gaoua is the capital of Poni Province and forms a sort of capital for the sacred rites and bush lore of the Lobi people, Lobi peoples. According to local myth, Gaoua was founded when the Lobi migrated across from northern Ghana where they found the Gan people (West Africa), Gan people peoples occupying the territory. As a result, they named the trek across to Gaoua ''Gan-houo'' meaning "route of the Gan people".
