Party Of Modern Serbia
The Party of Modern Serbia ( sr-cyrl, Странка модерне Србије, Stranka moderne Srbije, SMS) is a liberal political party in Serbia. It was established on 14 December 2018 around former MPs from Enough is Enough. History Five MPs that left opposition parliamentary group Enough is Enough created their own movement ''Centre Movement'' in May 2018. After negotiations with Social Democratic Alliance, they formed new party, Party of Modern Serbia on 14 December 2018. On 23 December new collective leadership was elected. The movement currently has 5 MPs in National Assembly and 3 in Vojvodina Assembly. They also have representatives in Medijana, Valjevo, Rakovica, Zvedara and Stari grad municipalities. On 24 January one MP joined the Party of Modern Serbia, making the total number of seats in the Assembly 6. Stari Grad ( sr-Cyrl, Стари Град, ) is a municipality of the city of Belgrade. It encompasses some of the oldest sections of urban Belgrade, thus the name (‘’stari grad’’, Serbian for “old city”). 2022 Serbian General Election
General elections were held in Serbia on 3 April 2022 to elect both the president and members of the National Assembly. Initially, parliamentary elections were scheduled to be held in 2024; however, in October 2020 president Aleksandar Vučić stated that snap parliamentary elections would be held in or before April 2022. In addition to the general elections, local elections were held simultaneously in 12 municipalities and 2 cities, including Belgrade. The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) came to power in 2012 after forming a government with the Socialist Party of Serbia. Enough Is Enough - Restart (party)
Enough is Enough ( sr, Доста је било, Dosta je bilo, DJB) is a right-wing populist political party in Serbia. It was established on 27 January 2014 around the former minister of economy Saša Radulović and his associates from the ministry. Initially, the party had strong liberal, reformist, and progressive views, and in the 2016 parliamentary election they entered the parliament with 16 seats in total. Between early 2017 and 2018, its pro-European and liberal factions split off due to the internal conflict in the party. Since then, the party has shifted to the far-right and it began advocating souverainist and eurosceptic policies alongside numerous right-wing populist stances such as opposition to immigration. Aleksandar Stevanović ( sr-Cyrl, Александар Стевановић; born 1976) is a Serbian economist and politician. He has served in the National Assembly of Serbia since 2016, initially as a member of the It's Enough – Restart (''Dosta je bilo'', DJB) association, better known in English by the name "Enough Is Enough." He is now part of the three-member collective presidency of the Party of Modern Serbia.
