Part 2, Sounder
''Part 2, Sounder'' is a 1976 American drama film directed by William A. Graham. It is the sequel to the 1972 Oscar-nominated film '' Sounder'', which in turn is based on William H. Armstrong's Newbery Award-winning novel of the same name. Although Lonne Elder III and Robert B. Radnitz returned as screenwriter and producer respectively, neither Martin Ritt nor any of the cast members from the first film participated in the sequel, with the exception of Taj Mahal, who reprised his role as Ike and returned as composer. According to Bob McCann, the film was "barely released." William Graham (director)
William A. Graham (May 15, 1926 – September 12, 2013) was an Americans, American television and film director. Career Beginning in 1958, Graham worked as a prolific television director; he helmed episodes for dozens of series including ''Kraft Television Theatre'', ''Omnibus (American TV program), Omnibus'', ''Checkmate (American TV series), Checkmate'', ''Naked City (TV series), Naked City'', ''Breaking Point (1963 TV series), Breaking Point'', ''12 O'Clock High (TV series), 12 O'Clock High'', ''The F.B.I. Richard Gray Eder (August 16, 1932 – November 21, 2014) was an American film reviewer and a drama critic. Life and career For 20 years, he was variously a foreign correspondent, a film reviewer and the drama critic for ''The New York Times''. Subsequently he was book critic for the ''Los Angeles Times'', winning a Pulitzer Prize for Criticism and the National Book Critics Circle annual citation for an entry consisting of reviews of John Updike's ''Roger's Version'', Clarice Lispector's ''The Hour of the Star'', and Robert Stone's '' Children of Light''. In the last years of his life, he wrote book reviews for ''The New York Times'', the ''Los Angeles Times'' and ''The Boston Globe''.
