Parramatta FC
Parramatta Football Club, commonly known as Parramatta Melita Eagles or just Melita, are a semi-professional Australian soccer club based in South Granville, New South Wales. The club was established by Maltese migrants in 1956 and played several seasons in the National Soccer League, winning the NSL Cup twice. Later they were in the New South Wales Premier League, which the club won on six occasions. The club currently competes in the NSW League Two (formerly National Premier Leagues NSW 3). History The club was formed in 1956 as Melita Eagles United Soccer Football Club by Maltese immigrants after the amalgamation of two Maltese clubs; Malta Eagles (Established 1952) and Melita Soccer Football Club (Established 1953). Prior to their amalgamation, these two clubs were the fiercest of rivals, competing in the Eastern Suburbs Soccer Football Association (ESSFA). Alan Hunter (Australian Association Footballer)
Alan Hunter (born 30 July 1964) was an Australian soccer player who played for several National Soccer League (NSL) clubs, most notably for the Brisbane Strikers. Hunter was born in Northern Ireland. James Holland (footballer)
James Robert Holland (born 15 May 1989) is an Australian football player who plays as a midfielder for Austria Wien in the Austrian Football Bundesliga. Born in Newcastle, New South Wales, Holland played youth football at the New South Wales Institute of Sport before making his professional debut for Central Coast Mariners in 2006. He went on to play for the Australian Institute of Sport before spending two seasons with Newcastle Jets. He then moved to Europe, playing in the Netherlands, Germany and Austria, most notably for Austria Wien. In 2016, he returned to Australia to play for Adelaide United. Greg Brown (born 29 July 1962) is a former footballer who played as striker for both the New Zealand and Australian national football teams. Club career Brown played semi-professionally for Mossley, Hyde United and Southport in the United Kingdom before being brought to New Zealand by Napier City Rovers midway through 1985. Despite being sent off in his club debut, Brown's goalscoring touch immediately turned struggling Napier's season around leading them from the bottom of the New Zealand National Soccer League to 1985 Chatham Cup winners in a final that became known as "Greg Brown's final", in which he scored one goal and set up two others in the 3–1 win over North Shore United. Aytek Genc ( tr, Aytek Genç; born 3 February 1966) is a former Australian association football, soccer player and was the coach of the Sydney Olympic FC in the NSW Premier League. Considered one of the most technically gifted players in the Australian National Soccer League (NSL), he featured in over 350 professional games over a career period of 15 years.
