A park is an area of natural, semi-natural or planted space set aside for human enjoyment and recreation or for the protection of wildlife or natural habitats. Urban parks are green spaces set aside for recreation inside towns and cities. National parks and country parks are green spaces used for recreation in the countryside. Parque station is part of the Blue Line of the Lisbon Metro. History Parque is one of the 11 stations that belong to the original Lisbon Metro network, opened on 29 December 1959. This station is located on Avenida António Augusto de Aguiar. It takes its name from the nearby Parque Eduardo VII. The architectural design of the original station is by Francisco Keil do Amaral. On 29 December 1994 the station was refurbished, based on the architectural design of Sanchez Jorge. Parque is one of the forty subbarrios of Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is located between Condado and Ocean Park. Demographics In 2000, Parque had a population of 3,251. In 2010, Parque had a population of 2,871 and a population density of 23,925 persons per square mile. Description In the east, the boundary to Ocean Park is formed by ''Calle María Mozco'' (northern part) and ''Calle Santa Ana''. In the west, the boundary to Condado is marked by ''De Diego Avenue'' and its straight extension towards the Atlantic coast. The boundary runs along but does not include ''Calle Loíza''. In the north is the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. James Vo Parque ( ; born February 8, 1975) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. Parque played for the Chicago White Sox and Tampa Bay Devil Rays of Major League Baseball (MLB) from to . Career Amateur career High school Jim Parque grew up poor in Southern California. His father made less than US$20,000 per year and his mother, a Vietnamese immigrant, worked at a textiles factory in Chinatown, Los Angeles. On this income, Parque's parents struggled to provide for Parque and his brother. Parque himself had to work in a sweatshop in Los Angeles as a young boy. Parque attended Crescenta Valley High School where he was mentored by former All-Star pitcher Jerry Reuss. As a senior, Parque compiled a 12–3 record and was voted the Pacific League Player of the Year and MVP. He also broke the school's strikeout record.
