Parosi
''Parosi'' ( ur, , lit=Neighbour) is a Pakistani drama serial aired on NTM in 1990. The drama was written by Haseena Moin and directed by Raana Sheikh. It was filmed in Islamabad and Murree. It starred Khalida Riyasat, Marina Khan, Badar Khalil, Ali Ejaz, Saleem Sheikh and Jamal Shah. This was Khalida Riyasat's last drama serial as she died soon after working in this drama and the long play ''Ab Tum Ja Sakte Ho''. Plot ''Parosi'' tells the story of two sisters. Jahan Ara who is a single parent as her husband left her for a wealthier woman, and Roshan Ara, who is much more mature and composed as compared to her elder sister. They, along with Haryali Bua, come to live in a house they have rented from Shahnawaz, who is a very strict man living with his nephew Arsal. The comedy of errors starts as Jahan makes the life of her landlord miserable. Roshan Ara and Arsal fall in love. Haseena Moin
Haseena Moin (20 November 1941 – 26 March 2021) was a Pakistani dramatist, playwright and scriptwriter. She wrote several plays for stage, radio, and television. She was the recipient of the Pride of Performance award for her services to the performing arts in Pakistan. She wrote Pakistan's first original script ''Kiran Kahani'' aired in the early-1970s. Before this, PTV relied on novel-based scripts for dramas. She was considered to be the best playwright and dramatist Pakistan has ever witnessed. Khalida Riyasat
Khalida Riyasat ( ur, خالدہ ریاست; July 7, 1953 – August 26, 1996) was a veteran Pakistani television actress. Along with Roohi Bano and Uzma Gillani, she dominated Pakistan's television screens during the 1970s, early 1980s and 1990s. Badar Khalil ( ur, ; born 15 October 1944), also known as 'Baddo Aapa', is a Pakistani television actress. She gained popularity for her role in the TV play Bi Jamalo portraying herself as Bi Jamalo. Ali Ejaz (21 October 1942 – 18 December 2018) was a Pakistani film and television actor known for his film roles in '' FBI Operation Pakistan'' (1971), ''Sona Chandi'' (1983), and ''Chor Machaye Shor'' (1996). Network Television Marketing or ''NTM'' was Pakistan's first private television slot. The company's productions first aired on Peoples TV Network (PTN, later renamed as STN) in 1990. In the 1990s, PTN entered into a three-year agreement with Interflow and created NTM NTM produced plays, stage and music shows. Young artists including Yasir Akhtar, Sania Saeed, Atiqa Odho, Humayoon Saeed, Nadia Khan, Fakhr-e-Alam, and Khalid Anum became comperes and announcers.
