Parkvilla Football Club are a football club based in Navan, County Meath, Ireland. The club was officially formed in 1966. Parkvilla play their home games at Claremont Stadium, Navan. The club currently competes in the North East Football league Premier Division and their reserve team competes in Division 3B. Their youth teams play at the 'Ditch Pitch', on the Commons Road. Navan
Navan ( ; , meaning "the Cave") is the county town of County Meath, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. In 2016, it had a population of 30,173, making it the List of urban areas in the Republic of Ireland by population, tenth largest settlement in Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is at the confluence of the River Boyne and Leinster Blackwater, Blackwater, around 50 km northwest of Dublin. History and name Navan is a Norman foundation: Hugh de Lacy, Lord of Meath, Hugh de Lacy, who was granted the Lordship of Meath in 1172, awarded the Baron of Navan, Barony of Navan to one of his knights, Jocelyn de Angulo, who built a fort there, from which the town developed. Leinster Senior League (association Football)
The Leinster Senior League is an association football league organised by the Leinster Football Association. In 2015–16 the Leinster Senior League operated twenty divisions. It also organises various cup competitions. Its Senior Division is a third level division in the Republic of Ireland football league system. Leinster Senior League teams also compete in the Leinster Senior Cup, the FAI Cup, the FAI Intermediate Cup and the FAI Junior Cup. County Meath (; gle, Contae na Mí or simply ) is a county in the Eastern and Midland Region of Ireland, within the province of Leinster.
