Park Meadows
Park Meadows is an enclosed shopping mall in Lone Tree, Colorado. Opened on August 30, 1996, the mall features Forever 21, JCPenney, Dillard's, Nordstrom, Macy's, Crate and Barrel and Dick's Sporting Goods as its anchor stores. History Park Meadows opened in 1996 with Dillard's, and the first Nordstrom in the state of Colorado. Both Foley's (now Macy's) and Joslins opened at the mall in 1997, and JCPenney opened in 1999. It became the largest mall in the Denver metropolitan area. When Dillard's bought the Joslins chain in 1998, the Park Meadows store was sold to Lord & Taylor, which opened in 1999. The Hahn Company, who built the mall, sold it to The Rouse Company the same year. A movie theater opened by United Artists closed in 2000 and became Galyan's, now Dick's Sporting Goods. Lord & Taylor closed its store at the mall in 2004. Also that year, General Growth Properties acquired the mall when it bought Rouse's portfolio. Lone Tree, Colorado
The City of Lone Tree is a home rule municipality located in northern Douglas County, Colorado, United States. Lone Tree is a part of the Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city population was 10,218 at the 2010 United States Census, with an estimated population of 13,082 in 2019. Geography Lone Tree is located on the northern border of Douglas County, directly adjacent to Arapahoe County. It is in the South Metro area of Denver, located south of Denver's downtown. The city annexed the territory of the now-defunct University of Colorado South Denver's campus, the former site of The Wildlife Experience, in 2017. Joslins
Joslins Department Store began as J. Joslins Dry Goods Store, founded by John Jay Joslin in 1873; It was a direct competitor to The Denver Dry Goods Company which commenced operations in 1888. The downtown Joslins building in Denver, Colorado, is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, and is currently a Courtyard by Marriott property. History J. Joslins Dry Goods later converted to a department store in the 1930s and was purchased by Mercantile Stores Mercantile Stores Company Inc. until 1998, was a traditional department store retailer operating 102 fashion apparel stores and 16 home fashion stores in 17 states.
