CDPs have been used in each decennial census since 1980 as the counterparts of incorporated places, such as self-governing cities, towns, and villages, for the purposes of gathering and correlating statistical data. Tennessee State Route 275
State Route 275 (SR 275) is a long east-west state highway in eastern Lincoln County, Tennessee, connecting Park City with Flintville via Lincoln and Vanntown. Despite its east-west designation, it runs almost entirely north-south between Vanntown and US 64. Route description SR 275 begins in Park City at an intersection with US 231/US 431 ( SR 10). It heads east as Lincoln Road through farmland and rural areas to pass through the community of Lincoln. The highway then becomes Vanntown Road as it crosses a bridge over the Flint River and continue east through rural areas to the Vanntown community, where it turns north along N Vanntown School Road. SR 275 leaves Vanntown and turns northeast along Oliver Smith Road to cross over the Flint River again to pass through the community of Flintville. State Route 10 (SR 10) is a south–north route from the Alabama state line in Lincoln County, Tennessee to the Kentucky state line in Macon County. For most of the highway's length, it is an unsigned designation for US 231. Route description Alabama to Murfreesboro SR 10 begins at the Alabama state line in Lincoln County, just north of Hazel Green, Alabama, where it is the unsigned companion route of US 231/ US 431. The highway then goes north through farmland and countryside and has an intersection with SR 275 before going through Park City and crossing a ridge into Fayetteville. Once in Fayetteville, it has a Y-intersection with SR 110 before going through a major business and coming to an intersection with US 64 Bypass (US 64 Byp.). Hazel Green, Alabama
Hazel Green is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Madison County, Alabama, United States, and is included in the Huntsville-Decatur Combined Statistical Area. As of the 2020 census, the population of the community was 4,105, up from 3,630 at the 2010 census. History The town was named Hazel Green because of the hazel bushes along the road which were of a vibrant green color. In the early 19th century, several farmers from Georgia and the Carolinas settled in Hazel Green after discovering that the area had some of the richest soil in the Southeast. A post office was built in 1819 on the southeast corner of the intersection now known as Hwy. 231-431 and Joe Quick Road. Several grocers and rest stops were also built along this intersection. Fayetteville is a city and the county seat of Lincoln County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 6,994 at the 2000 census, and 6,827 at the 2010 census. A census estimate from 2018 showed 7,017. History Fayetteville is the largest city in Lincoln County. The city was established in 1809 by an Act of the Tennessee General Assembly. The act became effective on January 1, 1810. The lands that include Lincoln County and Fayetteville were originally part of Cherokee and Chickasaw land. They were ceded to the United States in 1806. Lincoln County is a county located in the south central part of the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2020 census, the population was 35,319. Its county seat and largest city is Fayetteville. The county is named for Major General Benjamin Lincoln, an officer in the American Revolutionary War. History Lincoln County was created in 1809 from parts of Bedford County. The land occupied by the county was part of a land cession obtained from the Cherokee and Chickasaw in 1806.
