Park Chang-sun
Park Chang-sun (born 2 February 1954) is a South Korean former international footballer. Playing career Park played for six clubs in South Korea and won domestic leagues with five teams. He played roles as the captain and the playmaker for South Korea at the 1986 FIFA World Cup, and scored the first South Korean goal of the FIFA World Cup against Argentina. He was selected as one of the FIFA World Stars after the World Cup, and played in the charity match. Lastly, he participated in the 1986 Asian Games and contributed to South Korea's gold medal. Style of play Park is regarded as one of the greatest South Korean attacking midfielders of all time. He was originally noted for his powerful long-range shots, but he was also skilled in creating chances during his prime. Gimhae
Gimhae () is a city in South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. It is the seat of the large Gimhae Kim clan, one of the largest Kim clans in Korea. The Gimhae Kims claim descent from the ancient royal house of Geumgwan Gaya, which was based in Gimhae. Gimhae is situated near the Nakdong River. The city has a K3 League soccer club called Gimhae FC. The largest foreign sports club in Gimhae is the Gimhae Semi-Athletic Club (G-SAC) located in Nae-dong. Gimhae is also the birthplace of the late Roh Moo-hyun, former president of South Korea. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. As central midfielders often go across boundaries, with mobility and passing ability, they are often referred to as deep-lying midfielders, play-makers, box-to-box midfielders, or holding midfielders. The FIFA World Cup, often simply called the World Cup, is an international association football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the ' ( FIFA), the sport's global governing body. The tournament has been held every four years since the inaugural tournament in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946 when it was not held because of the Second World War. The reigning champions are Argentina, who won their third title at the 2022 tournament. 1986 FIFA World Cup
The 1986 FIFA World Cup was the 13th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was played in Mexico from 31 May to 29 June 1986. The tournament was the second to feature a 24-team format. Colombia had been originally chosen to host the competition by FIFA but, largely due to economic reasons, was not able to do so, and resigned in 1982. Mexico was selected as the new host in May 1983, and became the first country to host the World Cup more than once, after previously hosting in 1970. The World Cup was won by Argentina (their second title, after winning in 1978). Playmaker
In association football, a playmaker is a player who controls the flow of the team's play, and is often involved in offensively and defensively playing passing moves which lead to goals, through their vision, technique, ball control, creativity and passing ability. In English football, the term overlaps somewhat with an attacking midfielder, but the two types of midfielders are not necessarily the same, as playmakers are not necessarily constrained to a single position. Several playmakers can also operate on the wings or as a creative, supporting striker; some can also function in a more central midfield role, alternating between playing in more offensive roles and participating in the build-up plays in the midfield.
