Reworld Media is a French Media conglomerate created in 2012 by Pascal Chevalier. The group became in 2019 the first group for the number of press titles. The way the group operates is criticized by many journalists, who consider that the activity of the group is more akin to advertisement to journalism. History ''Hachette'' was founded by Louis Hachette (French pronunciation: .ʃɛt ''Brédif''in 1826 when he purchased the ''Librairie Brédif''; the company later became L. Hachette et Compagnie. Hachette was purchased by Matra in 1980, a firm associated with Ténot & Filipacchi. Hachette Filipacchi was nationalised in 1981 but remained a publicly traded firm.
