Parasite Eve Series
is a Japanese science fiction horror novel by Hideaki Sena, first published by Kadokawa in 1995. The book was published in North America by Vertical, Inc. in 2005. ''Parasite Eve'' was adapted into a film and manga series. It was later expanded into three video games which is centered on a different character named Aya Brea; two that serve as sequels to the novel, along with a spin-off third game. The video games have also been adapted into a manga series. Plot Mitochondria are the "power house" of biological cells. It is thought that they were originally separate organisms, and a symbiotic relationship between them and early cellular life has evolved into their present position as cell organelles with no independent existence (see endosymbiotic theory). Hideaki Sena
is a Japanese pharmacology, pharmacologist and novelist. Sena was a graduate student at Tohoku University when he wrote his prizewinning debut novel, ''Parasite Eve (novel), Parasite Eve''. Writing career His most famous novel, ''Parasite Eve (novel), Parasite Eve'', was adapted into Parasite Eve (film), a film directed by Masayuki Ochiai in 1997 and a popular horror (genre), horror role-playing video game by Square (video game company), Square. When ''Parasite Eve'' was adapted as a video game, Hideaki Sena did not learn the title's plot until it was completed, since the game was a collaboration between Square and his publisher. Mitochondria
A mitochondrion (; ) is an organelle found in the cells of most Eukaryotes, such as animals, plants and fungi. Mitochondria have a double membrane structure and use aerobic respiration to generate adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is used throughout the cell as a source of chemical energy. Sperm theft, also known as unauthorized use of sperm, forced fatherhood, spermjacking or (a portmanteau of sperm and burgling), occurs when a man's semen is used, against his will or without his knowledge or consent, to inseminate a woman.
