Parasangada Gendethimma
''Parasangada Gendethimma'' () is a 1978 Indian Kannada-language drama film directed by Maruthi Shivram, based on a novel of the same by Srikrishna Alanahalli. It stars Lokesh in the lead role and the supporting cast features Reeta Anchan, B. R. Jayaram, and Ramakrishna. The film features original songs composed by Rajan–Nagendra, while cinematography was done by S. Ramachandra. The film won three awards at the 1978–79 Karnataka State Film Awards – Third Best Film, Best Actor (Lokesh) and Best Music Director (Rajan–Nagendra). The film was remade in Tamil in 1979 as '' Rosaappo Ravikkai Kaari'' and in Telugu in 1982 as ''Kotha Neeru''. Plot Thimanna (Lokesh) is an innocent tribal youth who is excited about his wedding. Srikrishna Alanahalli (3 April 1947 – 4 January 1989) was an Indian novelist and poet. The majority of his works are written in the Kannada language. Doddarange Gowda
Doddarangegowda is a Kannada poet and a lyricist working for Kannada cinema. He is a retired professor of Kannada and has published a number of anthologies in Kannada. He has released several audio cassettes and CDs of his poems. Some of his noteworthy songs are ''Tera Yeri Ambaradaage'' and ''Notadaage Nageya Meeti'' of Parasangada Gendethimma, ''Nammoora Mandara Hoove'' of Aalemane, ''Sri Rama Bandavne'' of Paduvaaralli Pandavaru. Lokesh (; 19 May 1947 – 14 October 2004) was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada plays and films. His wife Girija Lokesh is an actress and film director. His father was Subbaiah Naidu, who is credited to be first hero of Kannada silent movies. Lokesh made his film debut in the 1958 film '' Bhakta Prahlada''.
