Paraguayan División Intermedia
The División Intermedia ( en, Intermediate Division), also known as the Segunda División ( en, Second Division), is the second tier professional football league in Paraguay. It is organized by the Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol. Overview Since 1910 the second division tournaments have changed rules, number of teams and names. As of 2006, División Intermedia is the name for the second division and 16 teams are part of it. The champion and the runner-up of this league gains the right to participate in the Liga Paraguaya: Primera División, the Paraguay's top division of football. The last three teams are relegated to the third division (called "Primera de Ascenso" for teams from Gran Asunción and Primera División Nacional B for teams outside of the Gran Asunción area). CONMEBOL
The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL, , or CSF; es, Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol; pt, Confederação Sul-Americana de Futebol) is the continental governing body of football in South America (apart from Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana) and it is one of FIFA's six continental confederations. Club Sportivo 2 de Mayo is a Paraguayan football club in the city of Pedro Juan Caballero in Amambay who plays in División Intermedia, Paraguay's second-tier. Club Sportivo San Lorenzo
Club Sportivo San Lorenzo, is a Paraguayan football club based in the city of San Lorenzo, affiliated to the Paraguayan Football Association. The club was founded April 17, 1930 and plays in the Paraguayan División Intermedia after suffering relegation in the 2020 Paraguayan Primera División season. Club Rubio Ñu
Club Rubio Ñu is a Paraguayan football club based in the Barrio Santísima Trinidad of Asunción. The club was founded August 24, 1913 and plays in the División Intermedia, the second division of the Paraguayan football league. Their home games are played at the Estadio La Arboleda which has a capacity of approximately 8,000 seats. History The club was founded in 1913 by a group of young friends that chose white and green as the colors in representation of "purity" and "hope", respectively. Rosario, also known as Rosario Oriental, Villa del Rosario, or Rosario del Colla, is a small city located within the Colonia Department, in southern Uruguay. It is home to about 10,000 people. Atyrá is one of the oldest cities of Paraguay, alongside Yaguarón, Villarrica, Encarnación, Pilar, San Lorenzo, Humaitá among others. Atyrá is 61 KM East from the country's capital, Asunción, located in the Altos Cordillera, as it is part of the Cordillera Department, in Central Paraguay. Original name and founding Atyrá, initially named Atyhá, was founded by the governor Domingo Martínez de Irala in 1538. The word "Atyhá" is of Guaraní origin. Club Atlético Colegiales
Club Atlético Colegiales, usually just Atlético Colegiales or simply Colegiales, is a football club from the Cuatro Mojones neighborhood in Lambaré, Paraguay, founded in 1977 by the Zacarías family. The team currently plays in the second division of the Paraguayan League. History The Zacarías family named the team "Colegiales" (which basically means "students") after their chain of bookstores called "El Colegio" (The College). The team entered the first division in 1982. Colegiales never won a national title in the Liga Paraguaya, however, the few times they have participated in international tournaments they did a good job despite being a very small team from a humble neighbourhood with limited finances.
