Paradisio
Paradisio was a Belgian eurodance group formed in 1994. They released two albums under the now-defunct Border Breakers sublabel of Nippon Crown: the first was the eponymous ''Paradisio'', released in 1997 after its debut single " Bailando" became an international hit in the summer of 1996 and 1997; the second album is titled ''Tarpeia In Roman mythology, Tarpeia (), daughter of the Roman commander Spurius Tarpeius, was a Vestal Virgin who betrayed the city of Rome to the Sabines at the time of their women's abduction for what she thought would be a reward of jewelry. They disbanded briefly from 1998 to 1999, and again in 2003, but reunited in 2009, and in 2011 they recorded and released another album, titled '' Noche Caliente''. ''Paradisio'' is the debut album by Belgian group Paradisio, it was released in 1997 in most countries across Europe. It peaked at number 18 in Finland and number 54 in Sweden. The album released five singles. In 1998 the album was released in Russia and Japan with a different cover, and in 2010 iTunes released its digital format with another name "Tarpeia". Singles " Bailando" was released on 19 August 1996 as the lead single. The song reached number-one in Italy, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden. It peaked at number two in Belgium. It sold more than 550,000 copies in France and reached number four. In Sweden, it was the best selling single by being triple platinum. Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and known by its current name since October 2007, based on sales data from the Swedish Recording Industry Association (in Swedish Grammofonleverantörernas förening).
