Papalau Awele (born 1 March 1995) is a Papua New Guinean footballer who plays as a midfielder for Tusbab Stallions. He made his debut for the national team on March 24, 2016 in their 2–0 loss against the Solomon Islands. Career He has played club football with Papua New Guinea top club Hekari United, Madang and Kagua-Erave. It is one of the largest cities in the southwestern Pacific (along with Jayapura) outside of Australia and New Zealand. The 2019 Papua New Guinea National Soccer League, known for sponsorship reasons as the Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited National Soccer League, was the 13th edition of Papua New Guinea National Soccer League, the top-tier football league in Papua New Guinea. It started on 26 January 2019. Toti City F.C. were the defending champions. The title was won by Toti City, who picked up their fifth title after defeating eight-time champions Hekari United in the final on penalties.
