''Pandi'' is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language masala film written and directed by Rasu Madhuravan. It stars Raghava Lawrence and Sneha, while Namitha, Nassar, Saranya Ponvannan, and Sriman play supporting roles. The film was released on 23 May 2008. It was a hit in B&C centres. The film was also later dubbed into Hindi as ''Ek Dulara'' in 2011. Plot Pandi (Raghava Lawrence) does menial jobs in Dubai and saves every penny he earns and sends it to his family in Usilampatti. A flashback reveals that he was a carefree youth who was often chided by his father Sundarapandi (Nassar). His elder brother Rajapandi (Sriman) is the blue-eyed boy of his father. However, Pandi's mother Sivagami (Saranya Ponvannan) showers all her love and affection on him. His mother has a dream of building her own house in her land. Rasu Madhuravan
Rasu Madhuravan (1969 – 9 July 2013) was a Tamil film director known for family dramas. He began his career as an assistant director to Manivannan, and made his directorial debut with ''Poomagal Oorvalam''. He died on 9 July 2013 from throat cancer. Early life and career Madhuravan was born as Karuppiah in a village called Mettupatti near Dindigul district in Tamil Nadu. He attended Usilampatti Government School. While studying agriculture in college, he left studies, citing lack of interest, and went to Chennai in 1987. Madhuravan joined as an assistant director with Manivannan and started his debut ''Manamagal Thevai'' with Jayaram and Devayani, but the film was dropped after recording songs. He was supposed to direct Ajith in a project called ''Namma Veettu Kalyanam'', but that too was dropped. R. B. Choudary gave Madhuravan a chance to direct ''Poomagal Oorvalam''. Chitti Babu (Tamil Actor)
Chitti Babu ( ta, சிட்டி பாபு; a.k.a. Sajjiah Adeebh, 10 January 1964 – 8 November 2013) was an Indian Tamil comedian, presenter and actor who prominently played supporting roles in Tamil cinema. He was also one of the judges in the comedy show ''Asathapovathu Yaaru'' on Sun TV. Personal life Chitti died at the age of 49, after going into a diabetic coma. Perarasu (born 8 January 1967) is an Indian film director who works primarily in Tamil film industry. As a director, he is best known for his commercial Tamil movies with actors Vijay and Bharath Srinivasan. He has also been credited as an actor, music director, singer and lyricist in some of his ventures. Benny Dayal (born 13 May 1984) is an Indian playback singer. He is a prominent singer in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati and Marathi and more languages films. ''Dharma Durai'' is a 1991 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by Rajasekhar and written by Panchu Arunachalam. A remake of the 1989 Kannada film ''Deva'', it stars Rajinikanth and Gautami, with Madhu, Charan Raj, Nizhalgal Ravi and Vaishnavi in supporting roles. Panchanathan Arunachalam (22 March 1941 – 9 August 2016) was an Indian writer, director, producer and lyricist who worked in Tamil cinema. He was mentored by poet Kannadasan who was his uncle.
