Panchlait
Panchlait () is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language social comedy film based on Phanishwar Nath 'Renu''s short story 'Panchlight'. This movie directed by Prem Prakash Modi features Amitosh Nagpal, Anuradha Mukherjee, Yashpal Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Ravi Jhankal, Brijendra Kala, Lalit Parimoo, Pranay Narayan and Anurima Ghosh in important roles. ''Panchlait'' was released on 17 November 2017. Currently the film is streaming on MX Player. Plot Set in a rural backdrop, ''Panchlait'' tells the story of a village community called Mahato tola, that still has no electricity. The storyline is hinged on multiple and layered social interactions and an ethereal romance brewing between the lead characters. The people in this small village lives in darkness, engrossed in their own little sorrows and joys. Prem Prakash Modi (born 17 July 1968) is an Indian film director, writer and actor. Modi made his debut as a director in 2013 with a Bengali feature film ''Arjun – Kalimpong E Sitaharan'' starring Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Om, Manoj Mitra, Churni Ganguly and Biswajit Chakrabarty, based on Samaresh Majumdar's novel ''Khunkharapi and Kalimpong e Sitaharan''. His next directorial venture was ''Panchlait'' (2017), which was well received by the audiences. Supratim Bhol (born 10 December 1979) is an Indian cinematographer known for his works in Hindi cinema and Bengali cinema. He has also worked in other regional language projects in Haryanvi, Odia and Chhattisgarhi. Phanishwar Nath Mandal 'Renu' (4 March 1921 – 11 April 1977) was one of the most successful and influential writers of modern Hindi literature in the post-Premchand era.
