Panchavadi Palam
''Panchavadi Palam'' () is a 1984 Indian Malayalam-language political satire film written and directed by K. G. George, based on the story ''Palam Apakadathil'' (1981) written by Veloor Krishnankutty. It stars Bharat Gopy, Nedumudi Venu, Sreenivasan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Sukumari and Thilakan in the main roles. The film tries to caricaturise the political scenario in the state of Kerala and portrays the pitiful corruption by politicians. It is the first Malayalam movie in this genre. Plot A henpecked politician wants his name attached to a new bridge, even if that means destroying another, perfectly serviceable bridge. The politician Dussasana Kuruppu (Bharath Gopi) is the president of the village. Veloor Krishnankutty
N. K. Krishnankutty, popularly known as Veloor Krishnankutty ( ml, വേളൂർ കൃഷ്ണൻകുട്ടി, 19 September 1927 – 22 August 2003), was an Indian satirist of Malayalam literature. Kerala Sahitya Akademy awarded him their Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Miscellaneous Works, annual award for miscellaneous works in 1974. Biography Veloor Krishnankutty was born on September 19, 1927 in Velur in the present day Kottayam district, then in Travancore to N. N. Kunjunni and Parvathi Amma. His education was at M. D. Venu Nagavally (16 April 1949 – 10 September 2010) was an Indian actor, screenwriter and director best known for his work in Malayalam cinema, Malayalam film industry. He has directed 12 films. Son of writer, commentator, and broadcaster Nagavally R. S. Palarivattom Flyover is considered as one of the most notorious scam in the history of Kerala Public Works Department . The scam exposed the alleged nexus between politicians, bureaucracy and contractors. History Palarivattom flyover is a shoddily built infrastructure at the Pipeline Junction in the National Highway 66 Bypass in Kochi. The flyover was later shut down in May 2019, just three years after its commissioning, following the development of cracks on the structure. The cracks on pier caps of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 10th and 12th pillars of the flyover were reported.
