Panchama Veda (film)
''Panchama Veda'' () is a 1990 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film written and directed by P. H. Vishwanath, in his first independent film as a director, while the dialogues are written by T. N. Seetharam. The film stars Ramesh Aravind, Sudharani and Ramakrishna. The film had musical score by Sangeetha Raja. Upon release, the film was critically acclaimed and won multiple awards at the Karnataka State Film Awards for the year 1989–90. The film was remade in Telugu in 1997 as ''Rukmini''. Ramesh Aravind is an Indian actor, director, screenwriter and television presenter who predominantly works in Kannada films and television. In a career of over 34 years, Aravind has been appeared in over 140 films including several Tamil and Telugu-language films. Kannada (; ಕನ್ನಡ, ), originally romanised Canarese, is a Dravidian language spoken predominantly by the people of Karnataka in southwestern India, with minorities in all neighbouring states. Doddarange Gowda
Doddarangegowda is a Kannada poet and a lyricist working for Kannada cinema. He is a retired professor of Kannada and has published a number of anthologies in Kannada. He has released several audio cassettes and CDs of his poems. Karnataka State Film Awards
Karnataka State Film Awards are the most notable and prestigious film awards given for Kannada film industry in Karnataka, India. These are considered the highest awards for Kannada language films. They are given annually by the Government of Karnataka to honor the best talent and to provide encouragement and incentive to the Kannada film industry.
