Panathinaikos F.C. Academy
Panathinaikos maintains youth and amateur departments since the 1950s, while Panathinaikos F.C. manage them since 1981. They cooperate with a network of 55 soccer schools in Greece (''Panathinaikos FC Soccer Schools''), while they were the first Greek club with academies abroad (Cyprus, United States, Australia, Canada, Israel). History Since 1928 József Künsztler, coach of the first team, tried to rejuvenate the team with players from the second (reverse) team. During the 1950s the ex-player of the team, Antonis Migiakis, had the leading role on the creation of the first youth departments of the club. First coaches were Harry Game and Svetislav Glišović. Georgios Kalafatis Sports Center
Georgios Kalafatis Sports Center is the training ground and Panathinaikos F.C. Academy, academy base of the Greece, Greek football (soccer), football club Panathinaikos FC, Panathinaikos since 2013. In 2013, Giannis Alafouzos, president of Panathinaikos FC, decided the move of the club from the previous training center of Paiania (training ground), Paiania to a new one, owned by the team. The ground was bought by the previous owner, Panionios F.C., and was named "Georgios Kalafatis" in honour of the founder of Panathinaikos. Since then, it has been a gradual upgrade of the facilities. Puskás Cup
Puskás Cup or Puskás-Suzuki Kupa is an international football tournament founded by the Ferenc Puskás Football Academy in Felcsút, Hungary and the Magyar Suzuki Corporation in 2008. The aim of the founders is to establish a club tournament which offers the opportunity for talented young footballers to measure themselves internationally at the U-17 age level and to establish a fitting memorial to Ferenc Puskás. History In 2008 four teams competed for the first ever Puskás Cup trophy which was finally won by La Fabrica, the youth team of Ferenc Puskás's former club Real Madrid C.F. In 2009 six teams participated and the final match was broadcast in three different countries (the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania) and the official Real Madrid TV aired a summary of the tournament. Sotiris Ninis ( el, Σωτήρης Νίνης; born 3 April 1990) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a right winger for Super League club PAS Giannina. Ninis was formerly a member of the Greek national team. Charalampos Mavrias ( el, Χαράλαμπος Μαυρίας; born 21 February 1994), known as "Charis" ( el, Χάρης) or "Harry", is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a right back and right midfielder for Greece national team club Panetolikos. Sotirios Kyrgiakos
Sotirios Kyrgiakos ( el, Σωτήριος Κυργιάκος, born 23 July 1979) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a central defender. Club career Kyrgiakos made his first football steps with a local team, Thyella Megalochoriou. It did not take long for him to be recognized. At the start of the 1996–97 season he became a member of the Panathinaikos football academy. He is well known as ''alani''. Georgios Karagkounis ( el, Γεώργιος Καραγκούνης; born 6 March 1977), known as Giorgos Karagounis ( el, Γιώργος Καραγκούνης), is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Giannis Goumas ( el, Γιάννης Γκούμας, born 24 May 1975) is a Greek professional football manager and former player, who spent his whole senior career at Panathinaikos. Club career Born on 24 May 1975 in the village of Ampelonas, near Larisa, Goumas is one of the many players to emerge from Panathinaikos F.C.'s youth academy and served the club for 15 years, debuting for the first team in 1994. Angelos Basinas ( el, Άγγελος Μπασινάς , born 3 January 1976) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder.
