St Patrick's Street ( ga, Sráid Naomh Pádraig) is the main shopping street of the city of Cork in the south of Ireland. The street was subject to redevelopment in 2004, and has since won two awards as Ireland's best shopping street. St Patrick's Street is colloquially known to some locals as "Pana". Location St Patrick's Street runs in a curve from Saint Patrick's Bridge to Daunt Square, where it meets Grand Parade. The street obtains its curved shape due to its location over an arm of the River Lee. Paňa ( hu, Nemespann) is a village and municipality in the Nitra District in western central Slovakia, in the Nitra Region. History In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1239 (in form Poonh). After the Mongolian invasion of Hungarian Kingdom in 1241 the next preserved written mention is from year 1285. From preserved written sources it's clear that the village was property of the archdiocese of Esztergom. The village was one of the villages of Sedes de Verebel et Sancti Georgii, where lived church nobility serving the archbishop. Pana is a small town in Christian County, Illinois, United States. A small portion is in Shelby County. The population was 5,199 at the 2020 census. History The area around Pana was first organized as Stone Coal Precinct in 1845. The county's precincts became townships in 1856, and Stone Coal Precinct became Pana Township, Christian County, Illinois. In 1856, the village of Pana was incorporated. The name "Pana" is believed to have been derived from the indigenous tribe, the Pawnee. It developed at the intersection of east–west and north–south railroads, and had supplies of fuel and water for the steam engines of the railroad. This became a center of coal mining in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In April 1899 what is known as the Pana riot broke out after a violent confrontation between black and white miners. Pana, or Pagnag (), also known as Anduo, or Amdo, is a town and the seat of Amdo County in the Nagqu Prefecture of the Tibet Autonomous Region, in China. It lies 464 kilometres north of Lhasa and 138 km north of Nagqu. As of 2004 its jurisdiction had a population of about 2700, 683 of which were living in the town of Pana. Alarm Circuit
A dry loop is an unconditioned leased pair of telephone line from a telephone company. The pair does not provide dial tone or battery (continuous electric potential), as opposed to a wet pair, a line usually without dial tone but with battery. A dry pair was originally used with a security system but more recently may also be used with digital subscriber line (DSL) service or an Ethernet extender to connect two locations, as opposed to a costlier means such as a Frame Relay. The pair in many cases goes through the local telephone exchange. ''Wet pair'' naming comes from the battery used to sustain the loop, which was made from wet cells. Many carriers market dry loops to independent DSL providers as a BANA for basic analog loop or in some locales PANA for plain analog loop, OPX (off-premises extension) line, paging circuit, or finally LADS (local area data service).
