Pammal is a suburban neighbourhood of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is located 22 kilometers from Chennai Central Railway Station. It is located next to Pallavaram on the western side. Pammal Sambandha Mudaliar
Pammal Vijayarangam Sambandham Mudaliar (1873–1964), who has been described as "the founding father of modern Tamil theatre", was a playwright, director, producer and actor of the late nineteenth- and early twentieth centuries. He was a recipient of the civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan. Birth and education Pammal Sambandha Mudaliar was born in an aristocratic Tuluva Vellala family of Pammal, near Madras to Vijayarangam Mudaliar and Manikka Velammal in 1873. He was educated at Pachaiyappa's College. Tambaram City Municipal Corporation is the civic body administering Tambaram, a southern suburb of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Chennai Bypass
The Chennai Bypass Road is a full-access controlled expressway that interconnects four radial Indian National Highways around Chennai, India covering a distance of from Perungalathur (near Tambaram) on NH-32 to puzhal on NH-16 via Maduravoyal at a cost of 4.05 billion. Constructed as part of the National Highway Development Project to decongest the city of transiting vehicles, the expressway interconnects NH-32, NH-48, NH-716 and NH-16. This expressway now forms a part of the circular transportation corridor. Pallavaram–Thuraipakkam Radial Road
Pallavaram–Thuraipakkam Radial Road (State Highways 109) is an arterial road in Chennai connecting Grand Southern Trunk Road in Pallavaram with Rajiv Gandhi Salai in Thuraipakkam. The road was constructed by State Highways in 2000. Construction of Road divides Pallavaram Eri on the either side of the road. Now Lake is available only on the Northern Side of the Road. Tanning (leather)
Tanning is the process of treating Skinning, skins and Hide (skin), hides of animals to produce leather. A tannery is the place where the skins are processed. Tanning hide into leather involves a process which permanently alters the protein structure of skin, making it more durable and less susceptible to decomposition and coloring. Before tanning, the skins are dehaired, degreased, desalted and soaked in water over a period of six hours to two days. Historically this process was considered a noxious or "odoriferous trade" and relegated to the outskirts of town. Historically, tanning used tannin, an acidic chemical compound from which the tanning process draws its name, derived from the bark of certain trees.
