Pallabi Thana
Pallabi ( bn, পল্লবি) is a ''thana'' of Dhaka District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Pallabi Thana total area is , located in between 23°48' and 23°52' north latitudes and in between 90°20' and 90°23' east longitudes. It is bounded by turag and uttara thanas on the north, mirpur model and shah ali thanas on the south, bimanbandar, cantonment and kafrul thanas on the east, savar upazila on the west. Geography Pallabi is located at . Its total area is 17 km². Demographics Pallabi has a population of 364,000. Males constitute 52.74% of the population and females 47.26%. An ''upazila'' ( bn, উপজেলা, upôzela, lit=sub-district pronounced: ), formerly called ''thana'', is an administrative region in Bangladesh, functioning as a sub-unit of a district. It can be seen as an analogous to a county or a borough of Western countries. Rural upazilas are further administratively divided into union council areas (union parishads). Dhaka District ( bn, ঢাকা জেলা, Dhaka jela) is a district in central Bangladesh, and is the densest district in the nation. It is a part of the Dhaka Division.
