Orange County SC U-23 is an American soccer team based in Irvine, California. Founded in 2011 as the Los Angeles Blues 23, the team plays in USL League Two, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. The team plays its home games at the Orange County Great Park. The team's colors are black, orange, and white. The club was known as Los Angeles Blues 23 in 2011, Pali Blues in 2012, OC Blues Strikers FC in 2013, OC Pateadores Blues in 2014 and Orange County Blues U-23 in 2015–2016. United Soccer League (USL), formerly known as United Soccer Leagues, is a Association football, soccer league in the United States and Canada. It organizes several men's and women's leagues, both professional and amateur. 2011 PDL Season
The 2011 USL Premier Development League season was the 17th season of the PDL. The regular season began on April 29, 2011, when the Los Angeles Blues 23 played Fresno Fuego, and ended on July 24. The playoffs began on Tuesday, July 26 and concluded with the PDL Championship Game on August 6. As in previous years, the PDL Championship Game was broadcast live on Fox Soccer Channel in the United States, with commentary by Steve Bell and Keith Tabatznik. The Kitsap Pumas ended the season as national champions, beating Laredo Heat 1-0 in the 2011 PDL Championship game. The playoffs were held at the home of the Pumas in Bremerton, Washington. Fresno Fuego had the best regular-season record, posting an unbeaten 13-0-3 record. Fresno midfielder Milton Blanco was named League MVP, after leading the league in points (38) and assists (14) and helping his team to the Southwest Division title. Titan Stadium (Cal State Fullerton)
Titan Stadium is a 10,000-capacity multi-purpose stadium on the campus of California State University, Fullerton in Fullerton, California. History Scheduled to open in time for the 1991 football season, delays caused the opening date of Titan Stadium to be pushed back until 1992. Despite originally being planned as the home stadium for the Cal State Fullerton Titans football program, the delays in stadium construction put in question the possibility of the team actually taking the field. Budget cuts and strict NCAA regulations eventually signaled the end of the football program in 1992 after playing one season at the stadium. Since Titan Stadium was designed to host the football team, it is one of the most lavish soccer stadiums in Southern California. Federico Bianchi (born May 23, 1983, in Pacific Palisades, California) is a former American professional soccer player. He is of Italian ancestry. Career College Bianchi attended Pacific Palisades High School, before playing college soccer at Boston University, where he was named MVP for the American East Tournament as a senior in 2004. Professional After spending time playing in the MLS Reserve Division with Los Angeles Galaxy's reserves in 2005, Bianchi signed to play with the Long Island Rough Riders in the USL Second Division in 2006. Bianchi joined the expansion California Victory in the USL First Division prior to their debut season in 2007, and played in 11 games for the team, scoring 2 goals, before the team folded at the end of the season. The 2018 Premier Development League season was the 24th season of the PDL, and the last under the PDL name. The regular season started on May 4 and ended on July 16. The Michigan Bucks entered the season as the defending champions, but their title defense campaign ended with a loss in the Central Conference semi-finals. 2015 PDL Season
The 2015 USL Premier Development League season was the 21st season of the PDL and consisted of 63 teams. The regular season began on May 2 and ended on July 19. The Michigan Bucks were the defending champions and posted the best overall record in the League; however, they were defeated by K-W United FC in the Central Conference finals. K-W United went on to win the league championship by defeating the Seattle Sounders FC U-23 1-0 in the semi-finals and in high scoring final they overcame the New York Red Bulls U-23 4-3. 63 clubs competed in the semi-professional soccer leagues.
