Palamu (Lok Sabha Constituency)
Palamu Lok Sabha constituency (formerly Palamau Lok Sabha constituency) is one of the 14 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Jharkhand district in eastern India. This constituency is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled castes. This constituency covers the entire Garhwa district and part of Palamu district. Kameshwar Baitha is a member of the 15th Lok Sabha of India. He represented the Palamu constituency of Jharkhand. He is now the state President of All India Trinamool Congress Jharkhand Unit. The Rashtriya Janata Dal ( RJD; translation: ''National People's Party'') is an Indian political party, based in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Kerala. The party was founded in 1997 by Lalu Prasad Yadav. Jorawar Ram (25 March 1943 – 4 May 2021) was an Indian politician. Early life Jorawar Ram born to Ram Gobind Ram at Palamu, Bihar in a Dusadh family. The Janata Party ( JP, lit. ''People's Party'') was a political party that was founded as an amalgam of Indian political parties opposed to the Emergency that was imposed between 1975 and 1977 by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi of the Indian National Congress. In the 1977 general election, the party defeated the Congress and Janata leader Morarji Desai became the first non-Congress prime minister in independent modern India's history.
