Palais De Tokyo
The Palais de Tokyo (''Tokyo Palace'') is a building dedicated to modern and contemporary art, located at 13 avenue du Président-Wilson, facing the Trocadéro, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. The eastern wing of the building belongs to the City of Paris, and hosts the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris (Paris' Museum of Modern Art). The western wing belongs to the French state and since 2002, has hosted the Palais de Tokyo / Site de création contemporaine, the largest museum in France dedicated to temporary exhibitions of contemporary art. The building is separated from the River Seine by the ''Avenue de New-York'', which was formerly named ''Quai Debilly'' and later ''Avenue de Tokio'' (from 1918 to 1945). The name ''Palais de Tokyo'' derives from the name of this street. The Centre national de la photographie is a French association managed by the Ministry of Culture, dedicated to photography and contemporary art. In 2004 it merged with the "Patrimoine photographique" to create the association of the Galerie nationale du Jeu de Paume Jeu de Paume ( en, Real Tennis Court) is an arts centre for modern and postmodern photography and media. Cité Internationale Des Arts
The Cité internationale des arts is an artist-in-residence building complex which accommodates artists of all specialities and nationalities in Paris. It comprises two sites, one located in the Marais and the other in Montmartre. Approximately 1200 artists, choreographers, musicians, writers and designers from around the world live and work in the Cité internationale des arts every year. Residencies are generally a year long. Ange Leccia
Ange Leccia (born 19 April 1952) is a contemporary French painter, photographer and film-maker. He works in Paris primarily with photography and video. Life and career Leccia was born in Minerbio, Barrettali commune, in Corsica, and studied fine arts. Initially he was engaged in both painting and photography, but as time passed he devoted himself more to photography and video as his chosen media. Leccia is a lecturer at the École nationale supérieure d'arts de Cergy-Pontoise (ENSAPC). He also directs research for young artists at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. Leccia's first film was the short, ''Stridura'', in 1980. In December 2004, his film ''Azé'', made in 1999, was released. Jérôme Sans (born 1960) is a director of contemporary arts institutions, critic and curator, based in Paris. Nicolas Bourriaud
Nicolas Bourriaud (born 1965) is a curator and art critic, who has curated a great number of exhibitions and biennials all over the world. With Jérôme Sans, Bourriaud cofounded the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, where he served as codirector from 1999 to 2006. He was the Paris correspondent for ''Flash Art'' (1987–1995) and the founder and director of the contemporary art magazine ''Documents sur l'art'' (1992–2000). Bourriaud was the Gulbenkian curator of contemporary art from 2007 to 2010 at Tate Britain in London. In 2009 he curated the fourth Tate Triennial, titled Altermodern.
