Pakistani Cricket Team In Sri Lanka In 1985–86
The Pakistani cricket team toured Sri Lanka from 23 February to 27 March 1986. The tour consisted of three Test matches and four One Day Internationals (ODIs). This was Pakistan's first Test series tour in Sri Lanka. The series ended 1–1 with 1 match drawn. The tour was remembered for the acrimony between the two sides and poor umpiring throughout the Test series. Duleep Mendis
Deshamanya Louis Rohan Duleep Mendis (born 25 August 1952), known as Duleep Mendis, is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and former captain of the team, who captained Sri Lanka to their first Test series victory in 1985. He was primarily a specialist batsman, whose best period as a player came from 1982 to 1985. He is currently the coach of the Oman national cricket team. He was awarded the Deshamanya (Sri Lanka's second-highest national honour) in 1996. Early years He spent his college life at St. Sebastian's College, Moratuwa and S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia. Aravinda De Silva
Deshabandu Pinnaduwage Aravinda de Silva ( si, අරවින්ද ද සිල්වා; born 17 October 1965) is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and captain, who has also played in English county cricket. de Silva helped Sri Lanka to win the 1996 Cricket World Cup and brought Sri Lanka from underdog status to present-day form. He has held various posts in Sri Lankan Cricket after his retirement in 2003. Aravinda is the only player to make a hundred and take three or more wickets in a World cup final. Mudassar Nazar (Urdu: مدثر نذر; born 6 April 1956) is a Pakistani cricket coach and former cricketer with a career in Test cricket for Pakistan and in league cricket in Pakistan and England. Sangarange Don Anurasiri (born 25 February 1966) is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who played in 18 Test matches and 45 One Day International from 1986 to 1998. He was a left-arm orthodox spinner who spent his career in and out of the national side. Post-retirement, he spent many years as a member of Sri Lanka's national cricket selection committee. Deshabandu Roshan Siriwardene Mahanama ( si, රොෂාන් මහානාම; born 31 May 1966) is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and a former ICC match referee. Ellawalakankanamge Asoka Ranjit de Silva (born 28 March 1956) is a Sri Lankan cricketer who played in 10 Test matches and 28 One Day Internationals from 1985 to 1992. Asoka was educated at Isipathana College, Colombo. He later became an umpire. Umpiring career De Silva was the first ever Sri Lankan Umpire to be on the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. Rumesh Joseph Ratnayake (born 2 January 1964), is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who played in 23 Test matches and 70 One Day Internationals from 1982 to 1993.
