Pakistan competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was Pakistan's eighteenth appearance at the Summer Olympics. This Olympics was Pakistan's best performance since 2000 with both Talha Talib & Arshad Nadeem reaching the finals of their respective events. Gulfam Joseph also barely missed out on reaching the final of his event. Ramadan Darwish ( ar, رمضان درويش; born 29 January 1988) is an Egyptian judoka. Career Darwish won a bronze medal at the 2009 World Championships in Rotterdam -100 kg. In 2015 he also won the bronze medal during the World Masters in Rabat. He is a multiple-time African Champion (six times). The International Judo Federation (IJF) was founded in July 1951. The IJF was originally composed of judo federations from Europe and Argentina. Countries from four continents were affiliated over the next ten years. Today the IJF has 200 National Federations on all continents. There are over 20 million people around the globe who practice judo, according to the IJF. is a Japanese badminton player who is the reigning two-time World Champion, winning gold in the women's singles at the 2021 and 2022 World Championships. The women's singles badminton tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place from 24 July to 1 August at the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza at Tokyo. A total of 43 players from 37 nations competed. Geo Television Network is a television channel based in Pakistan. It was established in May 2002 and is owned by the Jang Media Group. The channel began its test transmission on 14 August 2002, with regular transmission beginning on 1 October 2002. History Geo Network was founded in May 2002 by Mir Shakil-ur-Rahman. The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is the international governing body for the sport of badminton recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
