Pakir Ali
Pakir Ali is a Sri Lankan retired professional footballer and football coach, who currently manages Bangladesh Premier League side Bangladesh Police FC. His last success was leading the Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club to the Bangladesh League 2011 crown. As a footballer, he played for Bangladeshi clubs Dhaka Abahani, Dhaka Mohammedan and Indian club Vasco SC Goa during the late 1980s and early 90s. Biography Pakir was a passionate footballer and currently a successful football coach. He holds AFC A coaching license. Since 2016, he has been working as the head coach of the Sri Lanka national football team. 2011–12 I-League
The 2011–12 I-League was the fifth season of the I-League. The season began in October 2011 and ended in May 2012. Salgaocar are the defending champions, having won their maiden title in the previous season. The current edition has a total of 14 teams contesting for the honors. These include the top twelve teams from the 2010–11 season along with the two promoted sides, Shillong Lajong and Sporting Clube de Goa, who had been the winner and the runner-up in the 2011 I-League 2nd Division respectively. The I-League (known as Hero I-League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp) is the second-tier men's professional football competition of the Indian football league system. It is currently contested by 12 clubs across the country with the winners getting promotion to play in the premier division, the Indian Super League. The competition was founded in 2007 as the successor to the National Football League, with the first season starting in November 2007.
