Pain
Pain is a distressing feeling often caused by intense or damaging stimuli. The International Association for the Study of Pain defines pain as "an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with, or resembling that associated with, actual or potential tissue damage." In medical diagnosis, pain is regarded as a symptom of an underlying condition. Pain motivates the individual to withdraw from damaging situations, to protect a damaged body part while it heals, and to avoid similar experiences in the future. Most pain resolves once the noxious stimulus is removed and the body has healed, but it may persist despite removal of the stimulus and apparent healing of the body. Sometimes pain arises in the absence of any detectable stimulus, damage or disease. Pain is the most common reason for physician consultation in most developed countries. ''Above the Rim – The Soundtrack'' is the official soundtrack to the 1994 film of the same name. The soundtrack, released by Death Row and Interscope Records on March 22, 1994, was executive produced by Suge Knight. Dr. Dre acted as supervising producer on the project. Six tapes were released for the soundtrack's promotion. The album was able to garner critical praise and obtain commercial success, a feat not easily accomplished for soundtracks in general, and hip hop-based soundtracks in particular. The album shipped over two million copies and won the Soundtrack of the Year award at the 1995 Source Awards. The cassette version of the soundtrack contained three bonus tracks that could not fit on the CD due to time constraints: "Pain" by 2Pac (with Stretch), "Mi Monie Rite!" by Lord G, and "Loyal to the Game" by 2Pac, Treach from Naughty By Nature, and Riddler. ''Boi-Ngo'' (stylized as ''BOI-NGO'') is the sixth studio album by American new wave band Oingo Boingo, released in 1987. Production ''Boi-Ngo'' was the third Oingo Boingo album to be self-produced by Danny Elfman and Steve Bartek (including ''So-Lo''). The tracks "Pain", "We Close Our Eyes" and "Not My Slave" were released as singles. Several other songs, "Remember My Name," "Inside", "Mama" and "Find You", were recorded for the album but not included. An earlier song, "Cinderella Undercover", first performed in 1981, was also recorded but cut from release. "Mama" saw a limited release on a 7-inch vinyl box set edition of ''Boi-Ngo'' as the album's final track. ''Swan Songs B-Sides'' is the first EP by American rap rock band Hollywood Undead. It was released on June 23, 2009, and consists of 4 B-side songs that were recorded during the sessions of the album ''Swan Songs'' but didn't make the album. These four tracks were previously available as bonus tracks on different editions of the album.
