Bharpura Pahlejaghat Junction (Hindi name – भरपुरा पहलेजाघाट जंक्शन), station code PHLG, is a railway station in Sonpur division of East Central Railway. Bharpura Pahlejaghat Junction is located in Sonpur city in Saran district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is located on the north end of Digha–Sonpur rail–road bridge, while Patliputra is on the south end of the bridge. Pahleja Station is 3.81 km from and 11.46 km from Patliputra. It is connected to on its east side and Parmanandpur station on its west side. Sonpur is a city and sub-division in the Indian state of Bihar, situated on the banks of the River Gandak (River Narayani) and Ganges River in the Saran District. Sonpur was once famous for its longest railway platform, it also hosts Asia's largest cattle fair, which starts on Kartik Poornima. Geography The town is located at at an altitude of 42 metres (137 ft). The river Gandak must have been the route of the movement of Buddha and his followers from the Nepalese Tarai to Magadh. Digha is a seaside resort town in the state of West Bengal, India. It lies in Purba Medinipur district and at the northern end of the Bay of Bengal. It has a low gradient with a shallow sand beach. Bihar is India's most flood-prone state, with 76% of population in the North Bihar living under the recurring threat of flood devastation. Mahatma Gandhi Setu (also called Gandhi Setu or Ganga Setu) is a bridge over the river Ganges in Bihar, India, connecting Patna in the south to Hajipur in the north. Its length is and it is the third-longest river bridge in India. It was inaugurated in May 1982 in a ceremony in Hajipur by the then prime minister, Indira Gandhi. Patliputra Junction, Station code (PPTA), is a railway station in the Rukanpura area in the West End of Patna, Bihar. The station, which is governed by East Central Railway and managed by Danapur railway division, lies on the Patna–Sonepur–Hajipur section.
