Page One (Steven Page Album)
''Page One'' is an album by Steven Page, released by Anthem Records on 19 October 2010. It is his first solo album of original material since departing Barenaked Ladies in February 2009. ''Page One'' includes seven songs composed by Page with longtime collaborator Stephen Duffy and a pair of songs with first-time collaborator Craig Northey. The remaining three songs were composed solely by Page. Singles The first single was " Indecision", released on 27 July 2010; the single peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard Adult Alternative Songs chart. The music video debuted on 9 October 2010. The second single was "Over Joy". No video was made for the song. Commercial performance ''Page One'' peaked at No. 58 on the Canadian Albums Chart. It did not make the ''Billboard'' 200 chart in the United States; however, it did peak at No. 6 on the Heatseekers Albums Chart. Steven Page
Steven Jay Page (born June 22, 1970) is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He was a founding member, lead singer, guitarist, and a primary songwriter of the music group Barenaked Ladies. Page left the band in February 2009 to pursue a solo career. Early life Page was born in Scarborough, Toronto, Scarborough, Ontario. After skipping grade one, he was enrolled in Scarborough's gifted education, gifted program at Churchill Heights Public School. Page's father, Victor, was a drummer, as is his brother, Matthew. As a child, Page would attempt to play songs on the piano, while his dad would keep the beat on the drums. Page took ten years of piano lessons (though claimed he did not learn to play). He also was a member of the Toronto Mendelssohn Youth Choir. Oliver Jonathan Moss (born 24 January 1987) is an English Graphic designer, graphic artist, best known for his reimagining of movie posters. His work has been released by Mondo (American company), Mondo and is regularly featured in Empire (film magazine), ''Empire'' magazine. Pete Thomas (drummer)
Peter Michael Thomas (born 9 August 1954) is an English rock drummer best known for his collaboration with singer Elvis Costello, both as a member of his band the Attractions and with Costello as a solo artist. Besides his lengthy career as a studio musician and touring drummer, he has been a member of the band Squeeze during the 1990s and a member of the supergroup Works Progress Administration during the early 2000s. Glen Phillips (born December 29, 1970) is an American songwriter, lyricist, singer and guitarist. He is best known as the singer and songwriter of the alternative rock group Toad the Wet Sprocket. Personal life Phillips was born to a Reform Jewish family in Santa Barbara, California, United States. Although his family was Jewish, with Glen having a Bar Mitzvah, his family was secular and Buddhism was studied, with this spiritual curiosity being present in his work. Esthero ( ; born Jenny-Bea Englishman on December 23, 1978 in Stratford, Ontario) is a Canadian singer-songwriter who lives in Los Angeles, California. The name ''Esthero'' refers both to the singer and formerly to the two-person team of herself and producer Doc McKinney. Esthero is a portmanteau of "Esther the hero"; she claims to have gotten the name by combining the name of the heroine (Esther) and last line ("If I am to be the hero, then I cannot fly from darkness") of the film from Sylvia Plath's novel ''The Bell Jar''. Kenneth Lee Chastain (born October 15, 1964, Hanover, New Hampshire) is a musician, engineer, and producer currently living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is featured on percussion on Ziggy Marley's ''Love Is My Religion'' album and many other well-known artists' works. Chastain also composes, produces, engineers, and mixes for TV and film projects, most notably the movie ''Sweet Land''.
