Pag Triangle
Pag triangle ( hr, Paški trokut) is a pareidolia and Landform, land formation in the shape of an irregular quadrilateral located near village Kustići, adjacent to Novalja on the Croatian island Pag (island), Pag. It has been made a designated a natural landmark by Town of Novalja. Formation has been noted on 9th of May 1999 by Zdenko Grbavac, surveyor taking measurements for a quarry. In ten years since its discovery, media sensationalism turned it into an urban myth and claims have been made of over 500,000 tourist visitors. Croatian ufologists have linked the existence of the formation to a series of Unidentified flying object, UFO sightings in late 20th century over the island of Pag. In early 2009, a road was built connecting the triangle to the nearby village Caska, Croatia, Caska and thus making it more accessible to visitors. Pareidolia
Pareidolia (; ) is the tendency for perception to impose a meaningful interpretation on a nebulous stimulus, usually visual, so that one sees an object, pattern, or meaning where there is none. Common examples are perceived images of animals, faces, or objects in cloud formations, seeing faces in inanimate objects, or lunar pareidolia like the Man in the Moon or the Moon rabbit. The concept of pareidolia may extend to include hidden messages in recorded music played in reverse or at higher- or lower-than-normal speeds, and hearing voices (mainly indistinct) or music in random noise, such as that produced by air conditioners or fans. Quadrilateral
In geometry a quadrilateral is a four-sided polygon, having four edges (sides) and four corners (vertices). Novalja
Novalja () is a town in the north of the island of Pag in the Croatian part of Adriatic Sea. In recent times, Novalja has become famous because of the Zrće Beach. History The earliest settlers on the island were an Illyrian tribe that came to the region in the Bronze Age; traces of their settlement can still be seen around Pag. Pag (island)
Pag (pronounced ; la, Pagus, it, Pago, german: Baag) is a Croatian island in the northern Adriatic Sea. It is the fifth-largest island of the Croatian coast and the one with the longest coastline. In the 2011 census, the population of the island was 9,059. There are two towns on the island, Pag and Novalja, as well as many smaller villages and tourist places.
